T'was the night before flight,
When all through the house,
Not a creature could sit still,
not even a mouse (because Salem would have ate them)
The suitcases were hung by the front door,
In hopes that the Princess would soon be there,
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of palm trees danced in their heads,
And mamma in her pink pjs, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a short spring nap,
When out on the lawn there rose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter,
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
All to see our plane fly by and leave us in Winnipeg.
Kidding! We still have about 16 hours until departure and are making our final preparations.

The big debate here on Lindsay Street is whether Kim wrote it or if it was a group effort.
ReplyDeleteEither way, it made us all laugh. Great Job!
I wrote it myself
